Chinese Art Volume Two

“Chinese Art” attempts to relate the traditional art-forms of China to the social, political and technological conditions out of which they arose. Each art-form has a chapter of its own, where it is discussed in the context of a particular historical epoch during which, for one reason or another, it reached an especially characteristic stage of development.

Binding of book remains firm. Slight marks of wear along top edge of cover. Moderate amount of foxing on front cover and spine. Even tanning around edges of book. A few dog ears, also slight browning of margins of pages, otherwise in very good condition. Annotation in pencil on first page of book. Plates remain intact.
