The Thirty-Nine Steps and The Power-House

“The Thirty-Nine Steps” first appeared in “Blackwood's Magazine” in 1915 and was published in book form in the same year by William Blackwood and Sons. “The Power-House” first appeared in “Blackwood's Magazine” in 1913 and was published in book form in 1916 by William Blackwood and Sons. In each case this edition follows the text of the first edition, with minor emendations, and is reprinted by arrangement with The Estate of John Buchan.

Binding of book is intact. Moderate shelfwear, some fading, tearing, fraying and several stains on slipcase. Slight shelfwear on covers of book, otherwise in good condition. Slight tanning and foxing on edges of book. Very little foxing on endpapers. Very little foxing on certain pages, otherwise in good condition. Illustrated plates remain intact with slight foxing.
