The book uses a problem-solving approach to explain the fundamental principles of chemistry, making it both informative and engaging. One unique feature of the book is the 17 vignettes on "The Human Side of Chemistry," which provide brief biographies of scientists who helped to develop modern chemistry. This feature helps students to understand the "people aspect" of chemistry and how significant contributions by certain individuals helped make chemistry the exciting and central science it is today.
