Covering the syllabus (Ordinary Level) of the General Certificate of Education and similar examinations. From the Author’s Note: This book has been written for the use of schools, etc., where music is taught as a class subject, and the aim has been to provide, as far as possible, the subject-matter for the General Certificate and similar standards. The sequence of chapters is not meant to indicate the actual teaching order - this being, I believe, best left to the individual teacher. The subjects have, for convenience, been treated separately, but in teaching there will naturally be a good deal of overlapping and variation in the order of treatment and presentation.

Moderate to heavy tanning, foxing and shelfwear around edges of book. Signature in red ink on inside of front cover. A school stamp on first page of book. Marks of handling left on book; corners of most pages are bent or dog eared. Slight to some foxing, and underlining in red ink on certain pages.
