Multifaceted portrait of poet Charles Baudelaire.

If you're drawn to literary history, dipping into Claude Pichois and Jean Ziegler's 'Baudelaire' is like uncovering a treasure trove. Through diligent research, the authors breathe life into the many faces of Baudelaire: the rebellious student, the fashionable dandy, the struggling artist, and the self-imposed exile. It's an expanded glimpse into the man whose work has charmed and provoked readers for over a century.
