A selected review: "The cover may suggest this is a children's book, but don't be deceived. Though appropriate for children (probably 10 years old and up), it is not a children's book. It's a skillful rendition of the Arthurian legend. Unlike many books on the Arthurian legend, it is a complete cycle, beginning with the birth of Merlin and ending with the death of King Arthur. The twenty-three individual stories include several I had not read before (e.g., The Pig-Sty Prince and the Many Travels) and omit some I had read previously. The Holy Grail enters into several of the stories, but the quest for it, though mentioned, is not a focus of the stories. Highly recommended both for those unfamiliar with the Arthurian legend and those very well acquainted with it."
